What are controllership services?
Well established, entrepreneurial companies recognize that successful growth requires
the on-going guidance and quality services a high-end controller can provide. Many companies,
however, are at the level that only need these services part-time. My individualized, professional
services provide you with knowledgeable business analysis, oversight and guidance, while sparing
you the unnecessary expense of a full-time, high-level financial person.
How Do Controllership Services Work?
Typically time is scheduled on a regular basis, say several times a month or even weekly.
Both the owner and the accounting staff know the date and time we will be at the company's
office. The owner and staff typically set aside documents (such as tax forms, HR forms,
governmental inquiries, etc.) and have these documents ready when we arrive at your office.
The accounting staff has deadlines to meet in order to prepare for our visit. Our job is to review
the staff's work, make corrections and then communicate information to the business owner.
100% of the work is done at your office, on your schedule.
What About My Current CPA? Do I have to Change my Accountant?
–We simply act as your in-house controller for substantially less than it would cost you to hire a
full-time professional. We do not prepare your year end tax returns and we cannot prepare year-end
reviewed or audited financial statements because we are not independent from your business. We provide
your current CPAs with top-quality accounting information to prepare your tax returns and year-end
financial statements. –Because the information is prepared right the first time, your year-end
accounting and tax fees should be reduced!
